Updates and a Note About Images in Blog Posts

Hi there!

I wanted to give a quick heads up regarding photos from my blog posts on this website, particularly those in the past 12 months or so. The majority are photos from my recent doctoral dissertation fieldwork completed in Pakistan.

Unfortunately, due to some technical issues, for many of the posts, the images are missing. The photos depicted valuable moments mostly during the first half of my fieldwork, when I was able to make time to blog more often.

I apologize for the inconvenience, and will take care of the errors soon! I also intend to complete some updates throughout the website in the next few months, as some pages have been under maintenance/construction.

I had the opportunity to take thousands of photos, all around Pakistan in both my exploratory trip as well as the second more in-depth field assessment; approximately over 35,000, to be exact, over a 7 month period. Will update the Fieldwork page with my second trip photos and key observations in the near future.

In the meantime, feel free to learn more about me and my work here: http://www.elsatkhwaja.com/about/  or on the other tabs shown on the home page. You can also visit my Linkedin profile here.

Also, just a heads up, this year, my first co-authored piece was published with the Policy Futures of Education…. with George Mason University Professor Priscilla Regan. The article is titled: “Mapping the Political Economy of Education Technology: A Networks Perspective.” This study explores an alternative perspective on the power dynamics and influence of ed-tech investors and the political and economic motivations behind the key players. You can read the article here.

For future publications, please feel free to visit my publications page here: http://www.elsatkhwaja.com/publications/ .

There was a long hiatus from my last post, due to immersion in my post-fieldwork data analysis, however, there is more to come in 2020! And I look forward to writing more often in my blog, particularly insights relevant to my doctoral research and more!

Thank you! Have a wonderful new year!

Sincerely Yours,

Elsa
